Shipping charges

KOOLSKOOL provides free shipping for all orders for school stuff above Rs. 500 when you shop at http:/koolskool.in/. Otherwise a shipping charge of Rs.75 will be applicable.

For KOOLSKOOL affiliate sites, the free shipping and shipping charges may differ.
For http://koolskool.in/ubqool/ there is free shipping for orders above Rs 499, else it is a flat Rs 60.
For http://koolskool.in/primus/ there is a flat shippment of Rs 90.

Cash on Delivery

KOOLSKOOL will call / write to every customer for confirmation before processing cash on delivery orders. Should the effort to contact fail because of customer being unreachable through phone or email, the order will be put on hold for 4-5 business days. Should the confirmation not be received by that period, the order may be cancelled.

KOOLSKOOL reserves the right to not process cash-on-delivery orders in case, we find:

• The order is suspected to be fraudulent of frivolous
• The same customer (determined by address, name, telephone number or any other means) ordering cash on delivery with a record of package refusal
• Excessive number of Cash on Delivery orders from a particular customer
• Size of the Cash on Delivery exceeds pre-set amount.
• For certain category of products, Cash on Delivery may not be available. 

Carrier: Not all of our courier companies support cash on delivery, and they serve only limited pin codes within India for cash on Delivery. India Post VPP service will be used should our other courier companies not support your PIN code.

Cash on Delivery time: Delivery times for cash on delivery orders is usually longer than for pre-paid packages. Cash on delivery packages sent by India Post, usually to areas not served by our other empanelled providers, will take additional time. For remote areas, outside of city limits, India Post may take upto 20 - 25 days for delivery.

India Post VPP charges: There are specific cases where we will need to send out your cash on delivery order through the VPP service of India Post. Besides any shipping charge (in case applicable), India Post will levy a charge of Rs. 5/- for every Rs 100/- of the total amount.  This however would be included in your total bill amount.

In cases where we need to send your Cash on Delivery shipment in parts and /or from two different locations we will make the first shipment to be COD (where in you pay the entire amount and the extra levy by India Post) and the subsequent shipments will be sent in normally. This will help you minimize the cost of your shipping.

Octroi

Certain states in India levy Octroi or other forms of excise duty on all in-bound goods in certain categories. Should your shipping address be in any of these locations, you may have to pay the Octroi or the appropriate levy. This amount of money will be collected from you by the shipping / courier /transport company.

Handling charges

KOOLSKOOL may charge a handling fee for books and school stuff of certain categories or certain publishers. These charges are levied usually when the discounting on these types of books is low or non-existent, are difficult to locate (due to non-publication, or being out of print) or published by not-for-profit organizations. The handling fees covers the lack of discount from the publishers / distributors, multiple trips to the distributor and the retailers in different cities to procure the goods and shipping that we pay for to our locations. Examples of situations where we may charge a handling fee are books from publishers like NCERT, CBSE, Pratham Books or State government publications.

NCERT books (reduced availability)

From time to time, there is a severe shortage of NCERT books in the market when the publisher as well as the distributors run out of stock completely and do not expect stock replenishment in the near future. In such situations, there might be cases where we take inordinately long to procure and supply the book(s) to you. There also might be situations where, even after trying for a long time we might not be able to procure the book for you. Both these situations, we understand, will cause you inconvenience and a delay. We apologise for this in advance and hope that you will understand.

Cash On Delivery will not be available for NCERT books. 

Price Inaccuracy

There might be inadvertent situations where, there might be a typographical error, or a database error which causes an errorneous price to show on the web site. In these situations, KOOLSKOOL will reserve the right to process the order, cancel the order or prefer to choose to sell the merchandise at the corrected price.

How will the delivery be done?

KOOLSKOOL processes delivery through reputed privately operated couriers or India Post. If there is no courier service available in your area, we will ship your purchases using Indian Post.  Some of the Cash on Delivery orders may be be sent by India Post, in which case we will not be able to provide you a tracking number.

Local delivery inside a city may be done through our own logistics channels or a local courier company.

How are shipping and delivery dates estimated?

You will see an estimated shipping or delivery date for each shipment on the order form, just before you place your order. An estimated delivery date (or date range) may also appear in Your Account once you have placed your order.

Our estimated shipping dates are based on several factors, including the destination address, the shipping options you have chosen, and how quickly we can obtain and assemble items for shipment (the availability time listed on a product's detail page). Also, orders for multiple items or multiple copies of a single item can take longer to assemble before we are able to ship them to you.

We calculate delivery estimates by taking the estimated shipping date and adding the time it takes a package to travel from our facilities to your destination address, based on the shipping speed you have chosen.

Text books often take a little longer than our expected time.

Item not received past delivery date:

Orders that are sold and fulfilled by KOOLSKOOL and shipped via a trackable method (such as a courier company) will have tracking information available in Your Account. Please check this information if available and read through the following options:

• If the tracking information indicates the package has been delivered, please check with your neighbors, family members or security guard of your building. Packages are occasionally left with neighbors, a building manager, or are placed somewhere relatively safe such as your porch, or your mailbox.
• If the tracking information indicates the package is being returned to us, or if the address is incorrect, it may have been undeliverable.
• If there is no tracking information or you cannot locate the package and it is not being returned as undeliverable, please e-mail us.

International Shipping

 Apologies, we usually do not ship outside India at this time. However we may take your order on case to case basis. The terms of shipment and order may vary from this document. Please write to us at support@koolskool.in with order request

Applicable Law

All tranactions and arbitration thereoff shall be governed by and interpreted and construed in accordance with the laws of India. The place of jurisdiction shall be exclusively in Bangalore.

Jurisdictional Issues/Sale in India Only

Unless otherwise specified, the material on the Website is presented solely for the purpose of sale in India. We make no representation that materials in the Website are appropriate or available for use in other locations/Countries other than India. Those who choose to access this site from other locations/Countries other than India do so on their own initiative and we are not responsible for supply of goods/refund for the goods ordered from other locations/Countries other than India, compliance with local laws, if and to the extent local laws are applicable.

Risk of loss

All items purchased on the Website are made pursuant to a shipment contract. This means that the risk of loss and title for such items pass to You upon our delivery to the carrier.

Product Description

We try to be as accurate as possible. However, we do not warrant that Product description or other content of this Website is accurate, complete, reliable, current, or error-free. If a product offered by us on the Website itself is not as described, Your sole remedy is to return it in unused condition.

Pricing/Typographical error

If Delhigate comes across any difference in pricing resulting from typographic errors w.r.t pricing or product information, Delhigate shall have the right to rectify the same or cancel the order(s) and refund monies, if any, collected from You within 10-15 business days of such corrective action taken. The mode of refund will be the same as at the time of placing the order. Cash on Delivery order refunds will be done by cheque.

Cancellation of order

We reserve the right to cancel any order at our sole discretion, under a situation where we are not able to meet the requirement of the order placed or order so placed/cancelled does not comply with the our policy or for any other reason. However, we will ensure that any communication of cancellation of an order, so cancelled, is intimated within appropriate time to the concerned person and any applicable refund will be made in reasonable time.

Limitation of Liability

IN NO EVENT SHALL KOOLSKOOL AND/OR Delhigate BE LIABLE FOR ANY SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, INDIRECT OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES OF ANY KIND IN CONNECTION WITH THIS DOCUMENT, EVEN IF KOOLSKOOL AND/OR Delhigate HAS BEEN INFORMED IN ADVANCE OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
